INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY SERVICE (IWS)
 

 
 

The Canon International Warranty Service (IWS) has been established to provide service to certain products under warranty when purchased in an IWS member country (please refer to list of IWS member countries). The Canon IWS only applies when the IWS product (please refer to list of IWS products) is purchased and used in any IWS member country, the warranty period being 12 months (1 year) from the date of purchase.

Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. honors International Warranty for Film Cameras, Lenses, Speedlite and Battery Grip provided that the owner shows proof of purchase and completed/valid International Warranty Card.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The Canon product will be repaired free of charge in case of any malfunction for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
  2. When you desire the product to be repaired based on this warranty, contact our service center and present your International Warranty Card.
  3. Warranty will not be applied in the following cases:
    1. Malfunctions resulting from misusage of the product including failure to follow instructions contained in the owner’s manual.
    2. Malfunctions resulting from repairs, modifications or disassembling cleaning performed by any party other than authorized Canon service facilities.
    3. Malfunctions resulting from any exposure to dirt, sand, water, dropping or shock.
    4. Malfunctions resulting from fire or natural disaster.
    5. Malfunctions resulting from inadequate safekeeping (storage at high temperature or humidity, storage with mothballs or leakage of batteries) or improper care.
    6. Non-presentation of this warranty card.
    7. Omission or alteration of dealer’s name and purchase date.
  4. This warranty covers the product itself only and does not cover any accessories (case, strap, lenscap, etc.) or consumptions (battery, etc.)
  5. This warranty does not cover any incidental damages due to malfunctions of the product such as loss of photographing expenses or loss of profit, etc.

Important Note:

  • The warranty card will not be re-issued.
  • International Warranty Service is non transferable.
