Terms and Conditions

1. The warranty set forth below is given by Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc. in respect to Canon product or equipment distributed by Canon in Philippines, and is valid only in the Philippines.

2. Canon warranties that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship and under normal use and in accordance with the terms and condition set out herein.

3. The Limited Warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser of the Product and not assignable or transferable to any subsequent purchaser/user.

4. The Limited Warranty extends for first twelve (12) months (or specified otherwise) beginning on the date of purchase of the Product. ("Warranty Period").

5. The Limited Warranty shall apply only if the Product together with the Warranty Registration Card and the Purchased Receipt are presented by the Purchaser at the Canon Customer Care Centre or Canon Authorized Service Center during the Warranty Period.

6. During the Warranty Period, Canon shall repair and replace any defective Parts covered by the Limited Warranty without charge, except for insurance, handling transportation, delivery and other incidental charges incurred in respect of the product will be borne by the Purchaser.

7. The decision of Canon on all repairs, replacements, or question relating to defects of either workmanship or materials shall be conclusive and the Purchaser shall agree to be bound by such decision. Any part replaced shall become property of Canon.

8. The Limited Warranty shall not extend to the Purchaser any coverage or benefits or be valid if any of the following conditions occur;

1. The product has been subject to unauthorized modification, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized repair including but not limited to use of unauthorized part or parts in repair or repair by unauthorized personnel, abnormal use, improper storage, improper safe keeping, exposure to moisture or dampness (whether corrosion occurs), exposure to excessive temperature, sand, dust, dirt, or other environment conditions, Acts of God, misuse, mishandling, neglect abuse such as shock, accident such as dropping or falling, alteration, improper installation, failure to follow the correct maintenance and safety precautions as stated in the instructional manual, or other acts which are beyond the control of Canon, including deficiencies in consumable part such as battery leakage, or normal wear and tear of the Product.

2. The product was used with or connected to a part or accessory that is not supplied by Canon or otherwise re-use without the approval of Canon.

3. The warranty card has been defaced or altered.

4. The product serial number has been removed, defaced or altered.

9. Without prejudice to the foregoing, the Limited Warranty shall not cover; parts subject to wear and tear which include but are not limited to video head, bulb, drum, head lamp, drum unit, printhead, laser unit, supplies or accessories, which include but are not limited to batteries, battery pack, battery charger, power adapter, cables software, tapes, CF/Storage card, ink cartridge, ink sheet, used with the Product.

10. Any implied warranty of satisfactory or merchantable quality for a particular purpose or use or other implied warranties shall be limited to the duration of the Limited Warranty. For the avoidance of doubt, the Limited Warranty expressly provided for herein shall be the sole warranty provided in connection with the product and no other warranties; express or implied, are provided.

11. To the extent allowed by applicable local law, the remedies in the Limited Warranty are the Purchaser's sole and exclusive remedies and in lieu of other warranties, express or implied. In no event shall Canon be liable for loss of data or for direct, special incidental, consequential (including loss of anticipated benefits or profits), or other damages or damage whether based in contract, tort or otherwise.

12. The Purchaser agrees that Canon shall bear no responsibility for any other claims, with regards to software, film, tapes, CF/Storage Card and any other peripherals used in connection with the Product covered under Limited Warranty.

13. All warranty information, product features, and specification are subject to change without notice.

 

Important Note:

• The warranty card will not be re-issued.
• Limited warranty is non transferable.
• For product such as Printer/Fax/Copier/Micrographic products: The Limited Warranty shall cease to be valid when re-conditioned Toner, Cartridge or Third Party Ink Cartridge is used with the Product.
• For copier product the Limited Warranty extends for the first (12) months, or 60000 copies, whichever comes first beginning on the date of purchase.
